Overview
Pawd is an iOS app that lets users run full AI agents directly from the iPhone. Each agent connects to different services, carries out complex tasks, and returns results in real time. The app also keeps full privacy - the data stays on the device.
The challenge
AI agents usually require complex cloud infrastructure, which makes the experience more expensive and more complicated. The client wanted an app that would let private users run full agents without going through remote servers, while keeping speed and security.
The solution
We designed a hybrid architecture - part of the processing happens on-device with Core ML, and part goes through OpenAI and Anthropic APIs. We built an interface that feels like a chat with a smart agent, with support for voice, video, and Multi-Agent flows. All state is managed locally, with optional sync to iCloud.
Results
The app launched on the App Store with positive reviews, and grew to 10K active users in the first two months. We managed to keep the experience fast and private, even when the agent carries out complex tasks.
